Icon Furniture

Hi, I’m Blair McCosh. I’ve designed my website to give you an idea of the sort of furniture I make at Icon. I have been making furniture under the Icon brand since 1995.

The design of my furniture is strongly influenced by the clean, uncluttered lines of the Arts and Crafts Movement, MacIntosh, Frank Lloyd Wright, DeStijl and Bauhaus. My designs reflect all of those influences but have a distinctive South Pacific feel to them in their colours, textures, patterns and materials.

I particularly enjoy using colour, copper and gold leaf to create a unique style of wooden furniture.

My work ranges from one off pieces to limited editions of favourite designs.
